Animal Care Assistant

It has always been Laura’s dream to work with animals. After 15 years of trying out a few different directions including hospitality Laura took a chance and applied for a job as a veterinary receptionist, which she loved, but she wanted to be able to see more and spend more time with the animals. She had completed a week of shadowing at Broadleys and was delighted when she was later contacted and offered the opportunity to become an animal care assistant. Laura loves being able to make a small difference to the little souls that come to broadleys

Laura leads a busy life outside of work spending time with her husband and two children and also looking after her own rabbits and chickens.

Animal Care Assistant

Morgan has always wanted to work with animals. After gaining a NC and HNC in Animal Care at Oatridge College, she travelled to South Africa as a research assistant to help with leopard conservation at the Kruger National Park. After working at two small animal practices, she settled at Broadleys. Morgan has a keen interest in animal welfare and behaviour, which she uses her knowledge of, in her day to day care of patients.

In her spare time she is a volunteer for Scottish welfare charity, OneKind. When she is not volunteering she is usually at a vegan festival, horse riding, reading or writing-some of her work being published! Morgan lives with her two cats Smurf and Jinx as well as her chinchilla Pepper.
