Behind every great practice is a supportive, multi-skilled team of workers who keep everything running.  If you’re wondering, how many vets it takes to change a light bulb?  We don’t know, because at Broadleys they don’t have to!

Nickie 3Nickie
Projects Developer

Since 1996 Nickie has filled a variety of roles at Broadleys.  In her current cross-practice position she is able to draw on her background in industrial design to produce imaginative project solutions and she promotes the practice with skill and enthusiasm.  Nickie was here as a client on the opening day of the hospital and knew straightaway that she wanted to work here.  Her aim is for everyone to share that wow-factor every time they visit the practice.

In addition to a forty-year devotion to Bernese Mountain Dogs Nickie has a passion for knitting.  Many of her creations are used to decorate the windows at the Dunblane surgery.

Walter 3Walter
Grounds and Maintenance

Walter has enjoyed a long association with Broadleys:  as a client, as leader of our Puppy Parties and, since 2013, as groundsman and maintenance engineer.  He is also a qualified dog trainer and has devoted much of his life to helping owners to live conpanionably with their dogs.

Together with his wife, Andrena, Walter has bred, shown and loved Flat Coated Retrievers for over twenty years.  Dog shows are on the agenda for most weekends.

Gregor 2Gregor

Gregor has been helping out around the practice throughout his time at college and officially joined Broadleys in 2015 as the driver of the patient transport and home delivery service.  It’s a dream job for Gregor as his passion is driving: as demonstrated by his passing the IAM Advanced Driving Test.

Outside work Gregor is a keen athlete.  He competes in triathlon events and coaches juniors in the Stirling Triathlon Club.
